Jim Wise Demolition Ltd has worked as a demolition contractor across the UK since 1982 — more than forty years of structural demolition, soft strip out, licensed asbestos removal and site clearance delivered for developers, main contractors, local authorities and public sector bodies.
We bring our own plant, our own directly employed workforce and our own standards to every project. Critical works are never subcontracted, which means one accountable contractor from first survey to final handback.

Actually Does.
Demolition is planned work long before it is physical work. A competent demolition contractor begins with surveys — a demolition and refurbishment asbestos survey under CAR 2012, plus structural appraisal — because those findings set both the method and the price. Statutory notifications follow: a Section 80 notice to the local authority, HSE notification where licensed asbestos removal applies, and utility disconnections booked early.
Only then does site work begin: asbestos removal first, then soft strip out back to structure, then structural demolition sequenced top-down in accordance with BS 6187:2011 under a CDM 2015 construction phase plan, and finally site clearance to a level, documented handover.

Materials matter too. Around 96% of demolition arisings are diverted from landfill through source segregation, on-site concrete crushing and reclamation, with waste transfer documentation delivered at handover.
